民俗风情是杭州的又一大特色，也是中外游客参与活动的一项重要内容。民间流传至今的有：西湖明珠的神话传说，梁山伯与祝英台的爱情故事，白娘子与许仙的悲欢离合，古老的水上婚礼、鱼灯、荷灯、走马灯、舞龙、舞狮、踩高跷等；现代的具有国际性的西博会的狂欢节、烟花大会、西湖游船节和国际马拉松等。

make up the major part of entertaining activities for all tourists.
The West Lake Pearl legend, the love story of Liang Shanbo and Zhu
Yingtai, tragedy of White Snake Lady and Mr. Xu Xian, the aquatic
wedding ceremony, fish lanterns, lotus lanterns, revolving lanterns,
dragon dance, lion dance, stilted show, etc., all have a long history.
Modern ones include the International Carnival in the West Lake Expo,
International Fireworks Show, the West Lake Cruise Festival and the
International Marathon Competition.
