It's learned from the construction department on October 12 that Hangzhou have reached the goal of selling 800,000 square meters of the comfortable housing in 2008 as the second public sales of the comfortable housing was finished successfully. 500,000 square meters of the comfortable housing is scheduled to be constructed next year. According to the present speed, all the families which have difficulties in life and are eligible to the purchase of the comfortable housing can get houses next year.

Hangzhou has been constructing comfortable houses over 1 million square meters for three successive years since 2005 and has solved the housing problem of some 40,000 families by offering comfortable houses. The houses with an area of 760,000 square meters were sold publicly this year and nearly 150,000 square meters of housing were especially set aside for the groups such as the labor models, teachers and introduced talents. Therefore, the goal of selling 800,000 square meters of comfortable housing was achieved ahead of time.
