Qian Xuesen, father of Missile in China, was born in Hangzhou and his blood was inseparable attached to this city. Ischang, a woman writer of USA, present Hangzhou in the first chapter of Silk, a biography of Qian Xuesen. Nov. 12th will be Qian's 95th anniversary of birth. Relevant department of the nation and Hangzhou government will jointly hold series of celebrations.

Qian Xuesen, as an academician, has contributed greatly to the astronautical industry of the country. From Nov 11th to Dec 15th, an exhibition titled "Son of Hangzhou-Academician Qian Xuesen's Achievement Exhibition" will be held in courtyard of Qianwangchi in a theme of "Pillar of the State and Pride of the Country", which will be open free to all citizens and tourists. Staffs of exhibitions were already busy fitting up the exhibition place yesterday afternoon.
