The West Lake Primary School underground passage to be opened this week is the first underground passage completed in One Vertical Three Horizontal Project. It is located at the south of West Lake Primary School gate, between Outer Dongshan Lanes and Lingying Road, crossing Shuguang Road vertically.

The purpose for building West Lake Primary School underground passage is to solve the traffic problems here, diminishing hidden troubles when teachers and students of this school cross the road. An officer told the reporter that they would organize a propaganda activity together with moving staircase manufacturer and the school for pupils, asking them to pass the passage with the company of their teachers or parents. Beside this, the moving staircase might be suspended during rush hours of pupils going to and leaving school, in case they may play on the staircase and cause dangers.
