"Seeing abundant Chinese cultural heritage and the exchange between China and the World, we should know it plays an role un-negligible in the development of cultural industry!" The assistant Director-General of UNESCO Mr. Bouchenaki began his speech by combining the development of cultural industry and traditional Chinese culture. At the panel meetings of the 3rd Globalization Forum yesterday, the participants frequently extended the topic to the development of cultural industry in spite of the theme of "Advocate New Cultural View and Jointly Build the World in Harmony".

Mr. Bouchenaki commented that China had done an outstanding job in restoration and protection of culture heritage, which would fundamentally benefit China with regard to cultural exchange and promotion. Austrian Culture Minister Mr. Norbert Riedl also told that the proceeds from pop music and film now ranked at the second place, only next to that from traditional industry in the United States. The cartoon industry in Japan was also developing rapidly and accounting for a big share in the national economy. "It shows that there is an infinite potential in cultural industry and it will promote the economic development of a country tremendously. So we have to build a good environment for cultural exchange".
