According to the latest statistic report of Analysis on Zhejiang Province's Private Economic Performance in the First Half of 2005, in the first half of this year, the total amount of the individually-owned business in Zhejiang province has reached1.7 million, creating a new historical record, and the amount of private enterprises in each area of Zhejiang province also have maintained sharp growth, among which Shaoxing area gained a year-on-year growth of 16.1%, ranking the top over the province.

According to statistics, the capital strength of the individually-owned business and private enterprises is also in rising. Currently the capital per unit of the individually-owned business of our province amounts to RMB 34,800, and the registered capital per unit of the private enterprises achieves RMB 1.2293 million, with an increase of 22.73% and 16.38% compared with the same time of last year. And Hangzhou, with its achievements of RMB 46,700 and RMB 1.6871 million in terms of the two items mentioned above, maintains a growth of 36.36％ and 30.21％ respectively.
