According to sources from Zhejiang Inspection & Quarantine Bureau, Zhejiang Province, as the most important tea production area in our country, has further enlarged its international market and increased the export volume of the brand tea with high quality and high added value this year through overcoming the technological barriers, like the pesticide residue, harmful microorganisms, etc. imposed by international market on our country. In the first half of this year, our province has achieved the tea export volume of 82, 400 tons with the value of USD 142 million, respectively growing 14.6% and 29.7% compared with the last year.

It is reported, while taking the strict inspection, Zhejiang Inspection & Quarantine Bureau has focused on applying many measures to strengthen the quality control of the export tea from its source, maintain its credit and reputation, ensure its quality, overcome the technological barriers and promote the stable growth of the export volume. In the first half of this year, the tea export volume of Zhejiang province accounted for over a half of the whole country's while its output only takes about 20%, especially that its export volume of the green tea accounts for as much as 70% of the whole country's, making Zhejiang province as the largest production base and export province in China and even in the whole world.
